A project commissioned by Underbelly (www.underbelly.co.uk) to commemorate the closing of the 2018 Year of Young People as part of the traditional Hogmanay Torchlight Procession event in Edinburgh on the 30th of December 2018. Working with artist Ariel Killick (www.independentstateofhappiness.com) to create 14 willow sculptures designed from workshops involving around 288 young people representing 14 Scottish regions.
The sculptures were displayed for a week prior to the event on The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, before becoming part of the torchlight procession and finally illuminations in their own right.
